Yorkshire Cricket Council Championships Division One Final

The 'All Barnsley' Yorkshire Cricket Championship Final played at Warmsworth on Sunday 4th September 2011 turned out a comfortable victory for Darfield. Rain at the start reduced the 45 over a side game to one of 32 each.

Darfield won the toss and decided to bat on a pitch that was dry and favourable to batting. They got off to a flyer with Scott Adamson promoted up the order hitting 48 from 32 balls.
The run chase continued nearly unabated bar for a lull near the end and a total of 213 for 9 was achieved.

The much vaunted early order batting of Kexborough was soon in disarray thanks to some hostile bowling backed up by excellent fielding and the innings closed at 93 all out giving the School Street club a much easier victory than anticipated.

Man of the match adjudicator, David Ward, decided that Scott Adamson, for his flamboyant batting that got the Darfield innings off to a splendid start be the recipient.
